Support them where they are. Equip them for where they are going.
It focuses on giving secondary school students practical tools for where they are now, while gradually exposing them to possibilities for the future.
As the intellectual foundation of the Jacob Chidimma Transformation and Empowerment Foundation, the JCTEF Institute develops and stewards the Human Capital Transformation Framework, ensuring that every programme, training, and intervention follows a structured pathway toward measurable and sustainable human capital development.
Secondary-school students are navigating a period of significant development. Alongside academic demands, they may encounter:
THE FOUR CORE AREAS
.
Young people need to understand that emotions are part of being human and that experiencing difficult emotions does not make them weak. The focus is on awareness, healthy coping, resilience and help-seeking, rather than diagnosis or treatment.
Young people are continually learning how to relate to friends, classmates, parents, teachers and others around them. The goal is to help students develop healthier ways of relating to others and responding to social pressure.
Technology is already an important part of young people's lives. Rather than simply teaching technical skills, JCTEF seeks to help students understand how to live responsibly and positively in a digital world.
Young people need practical skills that help them navigate school and everyday life. Rather than presenting personal development as something abstract, JCTEF focuses on practical areas students can begin applying immediately. The objective is not to create perfect students, but to help young people gradually develop healthy habits, confidence, responsibility and a willingness to learn.
Wellbeing, informed decision-making and future readiness.
The JCTEF Campus Transformation & Wellness Initiative is a student-focused outreach programme designed to support university and tertiary-institution students in navigating some of the personal, social and professional challenges that accompany higher education and the transition into adulthood.
Supporting students with practical knowledge and tools to better understand their emotions, wellbeing, relationships, and everyday challenges.
Creating awareness about substance abuse, its consequences, and the importance of making informed and healthy choices.
Helping students develop self-awareness, explore career possibilities, and build the mindset and skills needed to prepare for their future.
